About Me

Hi there! I’m Barb, the creator and author of this blog. Nice to meet you!

I have been working on drawbridges since 2001. It’s a wonderful job, mostly relaxing, with a light sprinkling of white-knuckled terror to keep things interesting. Bridgetending gives me a lot of time to think about and observe the world. This blog is my opportunity to share those thoughts and observations with you.

My post topics can be rather eclectic; anything from fascinating things I’ve only just learned, to places I’ve been and experiences I’ve had, to crazy things I’ve witnessed, to forgotten history. I also throw in the occasional rant for good measure, and it’s usually political in nature.
