For the past week I’ve been training to operate the Ballard Bridge over the Ship Canal in Seattle. This is a very cool bridge, with a view of the Lake Washington Locks. I think I could get used to this.

You just needed a little time for the fog to clear. Onward & Upward into that beautiful future.
That’s the plan. 🙂
Ballard is one of my favorites!
Loving it so far, and it’s the closest one to my house, too.
Oh man… I want to meet those guys…
I’m told most of them are pretty gruff when dealing with the bridges, but yeah, I’d like to meet them too.
Fame has gone to their heads…
Or they were all grumpy to begin with. Who knows.
I refuse to believe that.
Bridge envy!
It’s nice to be envied. I’ll take it. 🙂
Of course they would be envious! They get to risk their lives in a miserable climate, and you get to run a magnificent machine–and stop traffic in the bargain. I’ve never been into the “star” thing, or people in general for that matter, so have no interest in meeting these guys…bridge operators, now, that’s another story…
I might have ridden right under your window this morn, if you had the early shift; I had doings in Ballard. Enjoy the nice weather, it won’t last.
I’m sure they’re making a heck of a lot more money than I am, though. Didn’t work today. And yes, I’m spending as much time outdoors as possible.
That sounds amazing! Wow!
Everything about this place is amazing. 🙂
