Sometimes the world gets it right. They did just the other day, when Malala Yousafzai was finally awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the youngest person ever to do so. This is a girl who has fought tirelessly for education, particularly for girls, and even came very close to giving her life for the cause. She is the voice of reason about an issue that shouldn’t still have to be spoken about, but millions of children the world over are still not able to go to school. What a tragedy. What a crime.
Watch this video, an interview with Malala from a year ago, if you want to hear a young girl speak the truth to the world. Her words are much more important than anything further I could possibly write about them.
