The Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum

Yesterday I wrote about the amazing Gaches Mansion in La Conner, Washington. I recently had the opportunity to stop in once again. I’ve written about this museum before, when it was called the La Conner Quilt and Textile Museum, but since most of their exhibits last from one to three months, there’s always something new and exciting to see.

The main exhibit this time was entitled “Material Men 2” and the artists, of course, were men. Some of these quilts absolutely blew my mind! I’d give quite a bit to have this kind of talent.

If I lived nearby, I’d probably be a frequent visitor, because they have get-togethers, contests, workshops and events all the time. This is a vibrant place, full of life and color. I hope you stop in sometime!

Let’s let the quilts speak for themselves.
