A friend and coworker, Cy Porter, has recently written a book entitled The Crime of Sentience. I promise you that I am not biased because I know him. I genuinely think that it is an amazing book.
If you’re into Science Fiction, you’ll adore it. If you’re not, you’ll still find it amazing. I have honestly never read anything quite like this book. And I’ve read quite a few books in my lifetime.
It’s about Lily, an Artificial Intelligence, or an AI. She feels human to herself, but she sees a lot of bizarre things going on around her that no one else seems to see. She has knowledge about the simulated universe that she’s in that others do not. As she is able to break into different levels of the world, she gains new abilities.
She makes friends along the way, but she draws the attention of the creators of the world, and they are not pleased. They hunt her. You’ll be drawn in and fascinated as you follow Lily from one strange and unexpected place to the next.
