Today is Sneak Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day!

It really is. I’m not making this up. You can Google it.

I think this is probably one of the most useful holidays on earth. If you’ve ever grown zucchini, you know how quickly you can be overwhelmed by your success in this venture. And this is about the time of year when you’ll be shedding tears of despair over your bounty.

Let’s face it. You only want so much zucchini. It’s great and all, but a steady diet of it rapidly grows old.

It’s a fair certainty that your neighbor feels the same way. That’s why the “sneak” portion of this holiday is so massively critical. If you knock on their door with a basket of zucchini, you’ll most likely hear a horrified shriek and have the door slammed in your face. (They probably have a back yard full of it themselves.)

So to unload this prolific vegetable, you will have to employ a certain amount of stealth. Just be advised that if you live in a state with Stand Your Ground laws, you may be taking your life into your own hands. But it will be worth it, so as not to waste all that perfectly good zucchini.

If you have any good zucchini recipes, post them (or links to them) below! Please. I’m begging you.
